Slayer34214 ::: Favorites 2007-12-23 13:55:29 All the wars have been started by irrational imbeciles. Religion had a major role in previous wars. Either way if religion existed or not the war-like and greedy nature of man would still be there and cause war. World peace is a joke if we have idiots running countries. __________________________________________________
Slayer34214 ::: Favorites 2007-12-23 13:51:44 You do realize that the top scientists of the world are atheists. Banning atheism would nearly stop science. Atheists are not saying to ban religion. We know that is nearly impossible. I do believe god is just an idea of the human mind. Besides why do i need some book to tell me how to live my life and how we got here. __________________________________________________
QuackenInsanity ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 05:39:11 Yes, its true that the former topics were most likely all foolish desires to enhance ones own comfort but theres two differences between them and religion. One, you don't have too delude yourself to enjoy the first three, and number two, religion, more often than not, attempts to change everything around it to increase the followers of said religions comfort level. __________________________________________________
QuackenInsanity ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 05:39:05 For the record I've never had a style of clothes and have never cared if my style of clothing makes others notice me. I've never been to an X rated club, and I've never been inside a pub, though I might very well someday and yes, I do believe that god is an illusion. __________________________________________________
RodHullIAmHim ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 22:59:02 I've been to an "X rated club" only twice in my life... I didn't really like it as I didn't think the girls really wanted to do this stuff (friends birthdays etc)... I have the right to choose and twice in 30 years tells it's own story and I have to say I never felt the built in rape-gene you muslims seem to think all men have... __________________________________________________
RodHullIAmHim ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 22:51:09 Sorry, should have listened longer... However, your fashion example is still rubbish unless you are saying religion is like a fashion in which case I couldn't agree with you more... We atheists care about what's "true" and that's it... I can't believe in your God in the same way as I can't belive in the Chirstian one... If I wanted too, which one do I choose...????? __________________________________________________
RodHullIAmHim ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 22:43:18 Didn't take long 00:50, going to fashion stalls... There aren't that many people who where whatever they like are there (you don't)... Fashion is massivly based on what the community decide is ok and just because a lot of people believe something doesn't make it true... Does it...? __________________________________________________
RodHullIAmHim ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 22:39:10 Stopped at 00:30, anything that has no proof could be anything so let's see what you say next...? __________________________________________________
renardnicolas ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 17:03:56 THE 'natural' question is "what for could it be usefull?" (if only you could just take a look at natural things or have a dictionnary...) btw, take also a look at the definition of 'rational', you will probably find something like : based on the reason. --> Reason : faculty that the human's spirit has to organize his relation with the 'real'... nothing to do with faith... __________________________________________________
renardnicolas ::: Favorites 2007-12-11 18:59:31 btw, of course the church, synagogue or mosque are real : they're all created by men... and what they offer, is effectively illusions that procure confort... but if you want to prove me the contrar, you're welcome... __________________________________________________
renardnicolas ::: Favorites 2007-12-11 18:54:15 the true question is not to know who is wrong or who is right, but what you could have against atheists? I really don't get it... __________________________________________________
mujtahid2006 ::: Favorites 2007-12-10 20:53:50 so is the church, synagogue and mosque. But according to you- they all offer 'illusions' pleasing to the imagination- just like the exotic dancer... __________________________________________________
Decebal825 ::: Favorites 2007-12-10 07:46:11 yes but the exotic dancer is real __________________________________________________
mujtahid2006 ::: Favorites 2007-12-09 15:58:38 not really; even when I was not muslim- I would never accept that! __________________________________________________
mujtahid2006 ::: Favorites 2007-12-09 15:54:29 you have misunderstood, the natural question to ask when we see something is "where did it come from" - so why not ask this of everything in tangible existence? Since we are part of this existence, it is rational to conclude that we cannot penetrate what is beyond it, thus we can only intellectual deduce the origination of everything in existence as that which is unlike what tangibly exists- ie unlimited, infinite, independent - aka GOD __________________________________________________ |
