Description: READ THIS FIRST BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS: people are asking me the same questions over and over, so reading this should help answer a lot of the generic ones. Still, I appreciate the comments/views and stuff, don't get me wrong. Just put this out here, I have the #1 score on this song as of now with 182,000+ points. (my gamertag = sskitzzo) This is still with my shitty set; i'll be getting a new one shortly, hopefully, but there are noticable pad misses in this video. Only my 2nd time ever playing this also, so there's still room for improvement in that area too. By the way, if you want to know how to do the "notes on the screen" effect; There's a lot of tutorials on the web for this kind of stuff with After Effects, and the best site i've ever been to for them (which i visit frequently) is www.videocopilot.net ; they've got a ton of tutorials, and even a basic training series of videos for the After Effects beginner, and all of it's free. and no, i'm not getting paid to plug thier site, i really just reccomend it hahaha And yes, I play drums in real life, have been for 4+ years, so the people going on about "play a real instrument", no, sorry, I do play real drums. The tape is on my drums because the drums were faulty out of the box; the tape holds the pad closer to the sensor inside of it, which allows for more sensitive hits for the time being, until I get it replaced. |

FlyBird ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 20:44:40 When do you get your pad back, man? __________________________________________________
azuritereaction ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 20:45:25 sometime next week, probably not until this time next week, unfortunately :/ __________________________________________________
azuritereaction ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 20:45:52 same, after a while it's basically just you see the pattern and automatically know how to do it. __________________________________________________
FlyBird ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 21:04:50 Goddammit. I like playing along. And i was planning to do so until I get the game ;_; __________________________________________________
jongodwin ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 23:27:43 I thought you put the tape on it to silence it a little like people do on their cymbals. I remember playing drums when the tour camae to Atlanta but I can't recall 100% if the rims count as part of the drum pad. If you hit the rims, does it count as hitting the pad? Sure the real drums make that clicking noise when you hit their rims but seems like the game counted it as a hit. __________________________________________________
azuritereaction ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 23:29:28 yeah, if you hit the rims it counts at hitting the pad, but i put the tape on it to make it more sensitive by keeping it held down closer to the sensor. it's only a temporary solution though, and i'm still sending in my set. __________________________________________________
souljah1337 ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 23:42:14 I play drums in real life as well, and I am extremely impressed with the difficulty of this game. Unfortunately I live in Canada so I won't be able to play it until Christmas time, but it looks like it will be well worth it. I can't wait to play ENTER SANDMAN. Question about the drum packaging: I've heard that the poor drum set comes in cardboard packaging and the good one comes in some sort of other packaging? Can you confirm or deny this? Thanks. __________________________________________________
lowrider5140 ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 23:43:21 why do u have tape on your drums?? __________________________________________________
azuritereaction ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 23:47:36 read the info __________________________________________________
azuritereaction ::: Favorites 2007-11-23 23:48:19 i can deny it; it was thought to be that way, but it turns out that there is no correlation to whether or not your drumset will suck according to the cardboard that came with it etc. best thing to do is just send your set back to EA if it doesn't work good; they're really quick at it. __________________________________________________
DancinDog ::: Favorites 2007-11-24 00:03:37 Read the description first dummy. __________________________________________________
