Hehe, I've just come back to watch this vid again, one month after first see-ing it. The metallic symphony of these huge trains is simply awesome :D. Ya just don't get this stuff in NZ :( And i definitely agree , you were there SO at the right time :)

That's one thing I could never understand about intermodals outside of N. America. Not enough clearance maybe? Here, pretty much every container train is double stacked.

Yeah, it was pretty spectacular. If you notice, there's a 3-pack of single stacks at about 0:27, and provided the perfect opportunity to shoot the eastbound. The photo can be found at Railpictures.

Nice, that's some amazing loading on the first train that passes, and the second for that matter. Here in NZ we would only stack one shipping container high per carriage and still use 2 engines in tandem :O

Very nice. I made a trip to Winslow last week for lunch at La Posada and some train watching. Plenty of trains!

A great railfan video, for many reasons, the main one being: We see it as if we were there. Very wise and limited use of telescopic lens. I have paid money for videos that overuse telescopic. You did it just right.
