rjlucas posted a 6 part series to "prove" the existance of Jesus. I cover basically parts 1-3 for now, because part 4-6 are just more of the same.

I think what he is referring to comes down to luck Blessing? My arse! You're just lucky, you've got no-one to thank but circumstance. And if there IS a God then he's probably moved on to bigger and better things. We know we're not gonna last forever. There's the first hook...

I've been raised to believe whatever I want to believe and I'm blessed... Well I'm not I'm just jammy as fuck. Honestly. REALLY jammy. We celebrate Christmas for the food, New Year for the drink, Lent to disguise anorexia (joking) Bla bla bla, school holidays, off work, you get my point. But I was always interested in the bible because of the stories, and the niceties, and when I went to Bible Club we got free chocolate biscuits and fizzy juice and sing catchy tunes. Kids'll believe anything

Brilliant. Religion is a social thing, people form in gangs for their beliefs and not just religious. Any belief

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking...the third is the Heaven's Gate cult...you know, the ones that thought they'd hitch a ride on a comet. The books are numerous, just do a search for cult religions. Science OF the Bible is what you are looking for. Check amazon(.)com...for some reason, they don't have it in NG's store...it's VERY enjoyable, and doesn't take an atheist position, strictly historical.

if one SOLID example is not sufficient for you...go buy a book on the subject. There are cults EVERYwhere throughout history and there has been plenty of martyrs for plenty of them.

I'm not going to say I agree or disagree with your arguments, but I will say at least your someone that tries to give a logical reasoning for your thinking, weather it is correct or not, I'm not going to argue...

they don't bother me. I enjoy the discussion. I figure that by them coming to the table with their empty basket of evidence that it might make a few of them rethink things and maybe wake up to reality.
