Description: I know you can never get away from the fact that a real dDJ is 100% better than a machine, yet what if the public could get involved too with the night? |

LyndonSoulGroove ::: Favorites How about a Night club where all the Memebers have headphones which Light wieght & the music is all done via Radio waves to the peoples Head sets. Also i think the sound of many Nightclubs is very bad, this improvement in sound is long overdue! why not call them Hi Fi Clubs ! 07-10-28 18:29:50 __________________________________________________
spectwon ::: Favorites Very interesting idea, and definitely possible. I actually work with a lot of automation (I work in radio, which has largely gone that way) and I can see how that could work. The thing is it would take a lot of formatting (to program it to determine what's "appropriate"), and you'd probably still have to pay a technician instead of a DJ, in which case you might as well hire a DJ. 07-09-15 20:52:37 __________________________________________________
vitinh0dj ::: Favorites dj used to discover new tracks for people, and make people love it... how can i touch pad do that? 07-08-26 17:01:50 __________________________________________________
Agen0 ::: Favorites No, because: 1. It would leave lots of DJ-s out of work. (or at least less of it) 2. You can never replace a human with a machine, it just wont be the same. 3. Not knowing exactly what songs are to come is a good thing, everyone likes the surprise when fading from one song to another. 4. In a way a good DJ is actually better at choosing the songs for people than the people themselves. 07-08-25 16:09:19 __________________________________________________

DjCh3 ::: Favorites I think,as djs,we should be able to combine our sets and our shows with what the public want to hear.I know way to many djs that never take requests or even talk with the crowd,if your playing let people come and talk to you, sure you might get the odd drunk guy who is annoying but you will also get to know your crowd as well as learn what they like when. 07-08-24 20:57:05 __________________________________________________
craxgt ::: Favorites totally agree on that. this would definately be weird if there is no one playin music. this might be a good idea for bars, cause if you think about it ellaskins idea is nothin' more than a modern jukebox. 07-08-24 10:33:29 __________________________________________________
djbuzzed ::: Favorites A true dj is an artist, not there to play request. When you go to a nightclub, you pay for the dj, his music, his show. It may work in bars, but the result will never match the creativity of a true, skilled dj. A computer doesn't know when to throw in what effects for how long, how to remix tracks, when to throw in acapella from one song onto the beat of another, etc. A computer can play requests, maybe, but it can only replace the technical aspect of djing, not the artistic aspect. 07-08-24 02:22:42 __________________________________________________
DJOmega80 ::: Favorites Touch pads are a bad idea. This would decrease the amount of ladies coming to the DJ booth to ask for requests ;) Also the last thing you would want are drunk clubbers thinking they know what is best for a light show. 07-08-23 23:12:30 __________________________________________________
renasola ::: Favorites Great point jonathan about the idea that people could select their songs for the evening. My opinion though is that DJ's are not just people playing songs for the crowd - I believe poeple still like the feeling of going to a club and being surprised and impressed by the music thats playing without knowing WHAT is actually playing. ever had the moment when you're sitting in a night club having a drink and that great song that love starts playing, you jump up all excited "OHH I love that song!!" 07-08-23 21:27:06 __________________________________________________ |
